A Collection of Hard Edged Soft Glowing Fadings

Superior Fading is a collection of hard edged minimalist, modern original paintings.  A Lake Superior horizon photo and moment inspired each of these paintings.  The fadings were painted with the with the goal of creating hard edged paintings that have light and softness. They all measure 2’ x 4’, acrylic on wood panel, gesso and varnished, cradled on mahogany.  It’s been a two-year study of the brilliant, stunning colors offered by Lake Superior. The paintings capture the colors, moods, and fading of the Superior Lake in modern art.
