Fading Triangles is a collection of modern, minimalist original paintings which are built with colored triangles.  The goal of Fading Triangles is to paint hard edge paintings that feel soft, glowing, full of light and movements.  The triangles together creating this illusion in each painting.  There are different techniques to make the paintings feel heavier and lighter in different areas.  Each triangle is hand painted and is a painting in itself.  Up close you will see strokes from the paint brushes.  All colors and locations of each triangle is pre-planned.  All paintings are gesso, acrylic and vanished on a wood panel.  They are each cradled in maple and measure 2' x 4'.
