I finished my peonies just in time for the real ones to begin blooming and sparkling all over northern Minnesota. After our long winters, there is something extra special about the flowers that finally arrive — like little celebrations popping up in gardens everywhere. Maybe that’s why I love peonies so much. They don’t stay long, but while they’re here they put on quite a show.
